Overton County students had the opportunity to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through planning and putting together projects and to learn from others the opportunities available in those fields.

Various district schools are presented with Math and Movement mats to engage students in math concepts. Classroom and PE teachers participated in this training session to learn new math strategies, supplement core curriculum classes, and have fun while learning.

Reading every day to your child is very important.

Overton County Schools is proud to announce that Livingston Academy will host a STEM Expo for all district students and their families on March 24 from 3:00 to 5:30pm. Livingston Academy will be highlighted at the event with STEM activities, classroom equipment and resources, and engaging opportunities for all.

The STEM evening will take place on March 22, from 3 to 5pm. This will include science, technology, engineering, and math activities for all students.

More than 210 eighth graders throughout the district participated in the 2021-22 Career Summit on March 11, 2022. The day offers students an in-depth opportunity to discover more about college and career readiness. Continued from previous article.
