HES Students and Career Exploration

Hilham Elementary's third grade students participate in Read Across America with focus on women in the workplace. The career exploration plays an important role in pairing working professionals with curious elementary students for a day-in-the-life reading session designed to help kids explore possibilities and find the answers to questions.

Livingston Academy's CTE Health Science Program

Livingston Academy's high school CTE students have new opportunities available to them. In the health science program, students have the ability to participate in hands-on activities, work-based learning experiences, and clinical internships.

Livingston Academy's FFA to Compete at Hyder-Burks

On March 9th, Livingston Academy FFA students will be competing in the Upper Cumberland District Ag Skills CDE Contest at the Hyder-Burks Pavillion. There will be approximately 15-20 FFA members competing that day. Students will compete in multiple skills including tool ID, plumbing, land measuring, small gas engines and block laying. LA teachers serving as judges for the various skills include Mr. Jason Copeland, Mr. Mac Johnson, and Mr. Mike Johnson.

4-H Speech Winners Announced

Overton County Schools would like to say thank you to our partner "Overton 4-H" for encouraging our students to participate in the Public Speaking Contest. 4-H found a way to push forward despite the pandemic.
