Wilson Elementary students had the privilege of hosting the 275 Run for the Wall Riders as they make their way to Washington, DC. Run for the Wall honors the Veterans that are MIA or POW.

The summer feeding program is in need of cafeteria workers. Work is from June 5th-30th and pay is $11 per hour. Please call 823-1287 for more information.

The Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) is partnering with Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation (GELF) to provide at-home reading resources to all Tennessee families of K–2 children at no cost (or free of charge). Through this partnership, GELF and TDOE want to encourage at-home reading practice to help young learners become stronger readers outside of the classroom.

Overton County Schools Partners with UCHRA for the week of May 8. District students can bring in nonperishable food items such as soups, canned goods, pasta, beans, sauces, and much more this week to their homeroom teachers. The goal is to fill the UCHRA pantry that help feed more than 20 families throughout our community. The classroom from each school that collects the most items will be rewarded with a Pizza Party! Contest ends on Friday, May 12.
