The weapons detection system evaluation initially scheduled for March 6th will take place tomorrow, April 8th at Livingston Academy.
We ask that students arrive a little early, if possible, to help ensure everyone gets to class on time. All students will enter the main entrance near the front office. The scanner will be set up and students will simply walk through and enter the building.
This will NOT alter school traffic patterns. Students who are dropped off will still be dropped off in the rear of the building. Parents are not to drop off in the front of the building before 7:30. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we explore new ways to improve safety.

the local EMS team has notified the district early this morning concerning the bad weather coming through tonight and the potential for flooding. With some districts closing today, we have received permission form the state to have virtual day tomorrow IF needed. Teachers have sent home assignments this afternoon just in case.

Voluntary Pre-K program Kick off night - Thursday March 13 from 4:30-6:00 P.M/
Enrollment will be held at the school of your choice (AH Roberts, Allons, Hilham, Rickman, and Wilson). VPK is serves 3 and 4 year old children. Must be 3 or 4 by August 15th. Please see our website for more information. (Programs -> Voluntary Pre-K) or call the district office at 823-1287.
Due to the ongoing icy weather conditions, Overton County Schools requested an additional virtual day from the state. This has been approved, and Overton County Schools will be virtual for Friday February 21, 2025

The next meeting for the Overton County Board of Education will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2025. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM. A work session will begin after the close of the meeting.
School is open in Overton County today, Friday, February 7. Due to the effects of the storms yesterday evening, we know some roads are impassable. Bus drivers will drive their routes as much as possible. If this affects your child's ability to attend school, his/her absence will be excused.
