Mr. Lacy’s and Mrs. Storie’s classes have been putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test as they explored the engineering design process in their summer learning activities. Students worked collaboratively to design and build RC airplanes, learning how engineers plan, test, and improve their creations. Through trial and error, they discovered how important it is to revise designs and make adjustments to achieve successful flight.
In addition to their work with RC airplanes, students also designed and constructed marble mazes, applying the same engineering principles in a fun and hands-on way. They carefully planned pathways, tested their designs, and made improvements to ensure the marble could travel smoothly from start to finish. These engaging projects helped students better understand the steps of the engineering design process while building teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
