Overton County Schools partnered with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Overton County Sheriff’s Department, and the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security to conduct a reunification drill with Rickman Elementary School on March 25, 2026.
The exercise strengthened coordinated response procedures designed to ensure students can be safely and efficiently reunited with their families in the event of an emergency. Staff and participating agencies worked together to review protocols, practice communication strategies, and reinforce preparedness across all teams involved.
District leaders also expressed appreciation to First Baptist Church of Livingston for generously allowing the use of their facilities to support the drill.
“We are very appreciative of the collaboration, support, and dedication exhibited by these agencies regarding student safety,” said the district’s Coordinated School Health Director.
Overton County Schools remains committed to proactive safety planning and values the strong partnerships that help protect students, staff, and the community.
