District Schools Participate in STEM Family Engagement Event

Three district schools hosted a STEM Family Engagement Event for students and their families. The evening gave students and parents the opportunity to engage and learn more about science, technology, engineering, and math through activities and mini lessons. Students were able to engineer boats to hold a certain amount of mass, create and interpret graphs using Skittles, display and learn about moon phases with Oreos, build 3-D math models, and much more. Grab and go activities were shared with all students. Overton County teachers enjoy watching our students grow and learn through hands-on activities. These projects are funded by Title I.
