Overton County Schools Welcomes Middle School Football Coach

Josh Carwile was born and raised in Overton County where he played sports for many years, including the Outlaws, the Overton County middle school football team, and eventually the LA Wildcats, where Josh was a vital part of the 2005 State Championship team. After serving our country in the Army for three years, Josh returned home to help coach football in various areas while pursuing his degree in Special Education. He has coached Outlaws, the Cookeville Recreation League, assisted at Prescott Middle School, and eventually earned the head coaching position at Upperman Middle School.

Coach Carwile is thankful for the opportunity ahead of him and stated he is "looking forward to being back home and coaching for [his] home team again while watching young athletes grow into mature young men and women." Along with winning games, Coach Carwile hopes to instill character and life skills into each of his student athletes.

Welcome to the team, Coach Carwile! We look forward to much success.
