LA Anglers Bass Fishing Team:
Interested? Join us for our Meet & Greet Session to learn more, ask questions, and meet the team!
Date: 08/20/2026 @ LA in the Cafeteria
Who can Join? Students in 4th - 12th Grade; Must have a fishing partner and a captain; teams may be co-ed; Artificial baits ONLY; Anglers provide their own gear and boat.
Captains: Captains operate the boat and ensure safety; Captains may NOT fish during tournaments; High school students may not serve as captains.
Anglers & Captains: All captains and anglers age 12 or older MUST complete Tennessee Boater Safety.
Boat Requirements: Minimum 16 ft fishing vessel; Aerated Livewell required; 250 HP max motor; All required safety equipment onboard; $300,000 minimum liability insurance (proof required)
Cost: Est. $200.00 per angler, includes team jersey, hat, and BASS Nation fees; Additional costs include entry fees, fuel, food, lodging, and travel; Sponsorship helps offset extra expenses.
Tournaments & Schedule: Fish lakes across Tennessee; Season runs September-May; 5-15 tournaments per season; Typically, Saturdays from sunrise 3:00 P.M.; All weather conditions- Rain or Shine.
Winning & Awards: Competitive BASS Tournament formats; Awards include scholarships, prizes, plaques, and team winnings; Top team placements recognition; Seasonal points awards.
Opportunities: Seasonal points race; Advance to regional competition; Potential qualification for national-level events; Experience competitive fishing; Skill development, teamwork, and leadership growth.
