Overton County Pre-K Class

• County-wide inclusion classroom for children ages 3 to 4 years old.

• Children must be 3 to 5 years of age to enroll.

• Enrollment is limited. When the class reaches capacity, children are placed on a waiting list.

Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) Class

• Grant-funded program licensed by the Tennessee Department of Education.

• Designed to help 4-year-old children develop the academic, social, and school readiness skills needed for success in kindergarten.

• Focuses on creating a positive learning environment that encourages a love of learning.

Enrollment Requirements

• Children must turn 4 years old by August 15.

• Children who turn 5 years old on or before August 15 are not eligible for VPK.

• Enrollment priority is given to families who qualify as economically disadvantaged.
