New Online Registration for 2022-2023 School Year
We are excited to announce that all schools in Overton County will use online registration for the upcoming school year. The district is also making registration available earlier and for the entire month of May. We hope these changes are more convenient for families and are helpful in preparing for the upcoming school year.
Starting on May 1, 2022, you will be able to log in to Skyward Family Access to complete registration for your children. Don't worry, we have helpful videos and guides below to help you through this process. Also, all of our schools will be ready to help out if your run into any issues while you register.
Why is Registration so Early?
In accordance with SB0788 / HB1305 - Public Chapter 479, Local Education Agencies (LEA) must provide open enrollment for at least 30 days and provide a 14-day notice prior to the enrollment period. Although Overton County Schools will not close enrollment after May 31, 2022, the district is formally announcing this period for registration and enrollment in compliance with this state requirement.
If you are enrolling a student who is new to the district, please visit this page to print an enrollment form. This form should be turned in at the school you wish to enroll your child. The remainder of the enrollment process will be completed through Skyward Family Access, which is the same process for all returning students in the district.
My child is at LA and has already set up classes with his/her school counselors. Do we still need to register?
Yes. School counselors meet with students to complete scheduling, which is not registration. Registration must still be completed by the parent or guardian in Skyward Family Access. The video below will walk you through the steps of completing registration.
How do I register?
In the video below, we walk you through the process of signing in and registering your children using Skyward Family Access.
