Using 3-D Visuals in Science

Livingston Middle School 7th graders are learning at new heights in the classroom using digital images to learn more about the skeletal and muscle systems. Mrs. Sullivan is engaging learners in her classroom using a new platform she discovered at the latest TSTA Conference called Visible Body.

Visible Body was created by a team of biomedical visualization experts, software developers, editors, writers, and anatomy enthusiasts who are on a mission to make teaching and learning visually engaging and interactive. Their highly accurate visualizations launch education far beyond written text, flat images, and plastic models.

Students were then engaged in small group sessions to dig deeper in their understandings about the various systems. Nice work!
